refiner, is planning to develop a third solar-cell
manufacturing plant with an investment of $1.12 billion. The thin-film copper-indium-selenium (CIS) plant, which will be located in Miyazaki in southern Japan, will have a power generation capacity of 900 megawatts (MW) per year. Scheduled for commissioning in the latter half of 2011, the facility is expected to increase the company's annual
renewable energy production capacity by more than 12 times, moving from the present 80 MW to 980 MW.
