SUGAR LAND--February 1, 2009--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Privately held fuel terminal operator Blendstar LLC (The Woodlands, Texas) has begun receiving and shipping ethanol products from the company's new biofuels terminal in Collins, Mississippi. The estimated $2.5 million distribution terminal began construction in August 2009, which was completed in late December 2009.

(GPRE) Corn Crop Numbers Boost Ethanol Producers

Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc. ( Nasdaq:GPRE) announced today the completion of a private placement of its common stock. Pursuant to an agreement with a group of accredited investors, Green Plains sold 1.2 million shares of its unregistered, non-brokered common stock at a price of $8.10 per share, resulting in net proceeds of approximately $9.7 million.
