On January 31, 2006, the registrant announced that its Board of Directors
appointed Nicholas T. Pinchuk, President of the Worldwide Commercial and
Industrial Group of Snap-On Incorporated (NYSE: SNA), a Director of Columbus
McKinnon. A copy of the press release issued in connection with such action is
attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
