Pensacola, Florida - August 7, 2019 /MarketersMedia/

One long-standing Pensacola-based business has reached a new milestone in its time line. Brandon Segers of Velocity Restorations recently announced the unveiling of the company's latest restoration project, a 1971 International Harvester Scout 800B. Deemed the Monster Scout, the vintage 4 x 4 was given a revamped tailor-made interior featuring vintage-style modern upgrades and showroom-quality custom paint. The vehicle's name was inspired by its 430-horsepower, 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine.

"Vintage vehicles in desperate need of a little attention and creativity are like a blank slate," said Segers. "They're just waiting to be restored to their original showroom condition and given some unique new twists. We're passionate about reviving classic vehicles of all types, and we put all our skill and experience into every project clients bring to us. Our team is extremely proud of the final results of this international scout restoration and excited to see it road-ready and set to turn heads."

International Harvester's Scout 800 first went into production in 1965 and ran until 1968. This model offered a number of upgrades over its predecessors as well as other rival models on the market at the time, such as redesigned instrument panels, a more comfort-oriented interior and integral heating systems. The Scout is considered in many circles to be the first true SUV. This is one of the reasons for its surging popularity over the last several years.

Other projects taken on by Velocity Restorations include the classic ford bronco, highly acclaimed muscle cars of the mid to late 1900s and numerous other models. Experts with the company specialize in the full range of restoration aspects, such as body repair, custom paint, engine and drivetrain, suspension, electrical work, interior and upholstery, glass work and trim. In addition to bespoke restoration services, the company offers a number of refurbished vehicles for sale. Previously completed projects include a 1968 Chevelle LS3, a 1956 Chevrolet 3100 and a 1979 Jeep CJ-7 to name a few.

Concluded Segers, "We've been making great things happen with classic cars for more than a decade now, and we offer everything from strictly factory rebuilds to adding unexpected modern features to vintage vehicles. As far as we're concerned, nothing quite compares to breathing new life into the classics. All our work is done in-house to ensure the highest possible level of quality, and we're looking forward to all the renovation projects the future holds in store."
