California Closets and Peter Walsh Announce “Organize This!” Facebook Contest

Today, California Closets®, the leader in home storage solutions and an authority in design, is announcing the launch of their first Facebook contest with the opportunity to win a $20,000 free custom storage solution and an in-home consultation from best-selling author and organization guru, Peter Walsh, also known for his appearances on the Oprah and Rachael Ray shows. Second Prize will win one $10,000 custom storage solution, Third Prize will win one of four $5,000 custom storage solutions, and there will be daily prizes given to participants at random.

How to Enter to Win

In 1000 characters or less, participants enter to win by writing about a room in the house that needs some organization and how a proper solution would improve day-to-day life – a kid’s room, home office, living room, laundry room or even the garage. Participants fill out a simple registration form (name, address, phone, email) and upload a photo of their “organization challenge” through the Facebook contest page.

Just for entering, participants will also receive one of the following coupons as a gift with purchase:

• UP TO $500 in savings on any Lago® Finish

The eight week contest will run from Friday, May 7 to Monday, July 5, 2010, closing at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time. Adults in the U.S. and Canada (excluding Quebec) are eligible to participate.

Voting

The Grand Prize, Second Prize and Third Prizes will be selected based on a combination of Facebook Fan voting and judging by Peter Walsh and California Closets. Entries with the most Fan votes will be shortlisted for final judging and selection. Winners will be selected in July 2010.

Facebook Fans who visit the contest can vote for their favorite entries by reviewing stories and selecting the vote button. Participants will be encouraged to let friends and family know about their entry, so they can vote. The more votes an entry has, the greater the opportunity of getting into the finals.

The prizes consist of the following:
