On March 2, 2016 UDEMY reported that they were lowering the prices of all their instructors’ courses to between $20 and $50, while continuing to offer discount coupons of up to 50 percent off. Even capstone courses priced at $300 or more were unilaterally forced into the new pricing model. The new pricing follows the Company’s previous actions to site-wide sell every course for $10, independent of the original price of a course established by online instructors.
