To follow up on my last past about John Paulson, recent filings indicate the hedge fund manager appears to have sold his 2 million share stake in Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) along with the sale of 700,000 shares of State Street (NYSE: STT).

Paulson also sold 2 million shares of JP Morgan Chase (NYSE: JPM), but still has 5 million left. He also more than doubled his position in First Horizon Financial (NYSE: FHN) increasing his stake to 7.11 million shares from 3 million shares in August.

Paulson's positions in Fifth Third (Nasdaq: FITB), SunTrust (NYSE: STI), Regions Financial (NYSE: RF), Peoples United (Nasdaq: PBCT) and Marshall & Ilsley (NYSE: MI) all remained the same from the August filing.

Marshall & Ilsley Corp.’s (MI) third-quarter loss of 68 cents per share was in line with the company’s forecast earlier this month as well as the Zacks Consensus Estimate.
