If brighter prospects were not enough, news after the close yesterday that the Oracle from Omaha had upped his ante in Wal-Mart (WMT) might be interpreted as another Buffett bet on a resurgent recovery. WMT’s CEO, Michael Duke, said “The economy remains challenging for customers and Wal-Mart sales, but we are encouraged by increased traffic and our market share gains,” when announcing earnings recently.
