New York, NY – March 9, 2017 – A unique online collaboration platform is playing matchmaker, enabling entrepreneurial Western business people to attract the various technical collaborators required to take concepts through ideation to finished product.
Collaborizm was founded by Steven Reubenstone in June 2016, and already has over 100,000 registered users. Several successful concepts that were developed in Collaborizm are now in production or have been brought to market. This validates the platform, and is a demonstration of the speed and efficiencies possible when teams work together, rather than groups of freelancers working in isolation.
Founder and CEOReubenstone says the idea for creating the platform was the result of personal frustration. “I sat in a mechanical engineering classroom for 4 years with the same 10 students. I struggled to find people on campus who were motivated to explore ideas with me. I became compelled to build an online collaborative ‘playground’, where people could meet, share knowledge, and influence each other’s ideas, globally,” he said.
The global membership is one of the platform’s unique strengths. Much of the technical expertise comes from members living in emerging regions of the world, with the majority from India and Pakistan. Many of the project ideas come from members in the West, though certainly not all of them. One of the biggest success stories originated in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Collaborizm encourages teams of freelancers to form around projects, while interacting with the other community members who also have visibility into the project and its progress. Members’ contributions to projects are also visible to other members, and their interpersonal skills are also on display, which greatly assists team selection for all project owners. This and the truly communal environment, seem to be hallmarks of the Collaborizm platform. Members are constantly offering words of encouragement or technical advice, even to teams outside their own project.
